So, as some of you know, I was on vacation for the first time in almost three years in Portland, Oregon. Portland is pretty much the Mecca for Veggies, as well as having one of the best indie scenes in the Pacific Northwest. Two of my favorite bands are from Portland, so that's the "theme" of this post. Music from Portland, as well as music from Jacksonville. Put on a helmet and prepare for some serious name dropping.

Just thought I'd let you guys sample this fabulous record before you all go out and buy the CD/Vinyl/8-Track (because you will so they can feed their sweet, precious daughters who are adorable and because you support music). Mates of State is great. The best tracks, I feel, are "You Are Free" and "Get Better". There is also a music video for "Get Better" that's very adorable. Go find it and watch it.
